Ms.
Marianne Bailey is the Director of the Joint Department of
Defense/Intelligence Community (DoD/IC) Unified Cross Domain
Management Office (UCDMO).
She assumed this position in June 2008 after serving as the
Deputy Director of the UCDMO for the previous eighteen months.
Ms. Bailey joined the National Security Agency (NSA) as a
government employee in 1985.
Prior to joining the UCDMO she completed a three-year
leadership development program while holding positions at the
Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) and various other federal
government organizations.
In 2003, Ms. Bailey recognized the need for a coordinated cross
domain initiative in the DoD.
With endorsement from the Deputy Assistant Secretary of
Defense she established and led the Cross Domain Solutions Office at
NSA. This initiative combined with a follow-on DISA led study
resulted in the establishment of the DoD/IC Unified Cross Domain
Management Office by the DoD and ODNI CIOs.
Ms. Bailey has extensive Information Assurance (IA) experience
including ten years as an Information System Security Engineer and
has provided IA guidance to a multitude of customers from the DoD,
IC and Federal government sectors.
Ms. Bailey has a Bachelor of Science
degree from the University of Maryland, College Park in Mechanical
Engineering and a Master of Science Degree in Resourcing the
National Strategy from the Industrial College of the Armed Forces,
National Defense University. She resides in Highland, Maryland with
her husband, and their two children.
